Two of the striking hallmarks of the Ray Charles Singers are the warmth, uncluttered togetherness of their singing and the light, translucent clarity which Ray Charles achieves with these beautifully trained performers.
Ray Charles has led his group on the Perry Como Show for many years as well as recording innumerable albums in his sweet, "soft" singing technique. The subtlety and delicate balance of their musical sound is a
perfect vehicle for the words and harmonies of The Song of Esther.
"The talents of two legendary artists have fused in the making of this recording, which heralds a new dimension in Jewish musical liturgy, and which is the first of its kind in magnitude and depth."

KENNY KAREN
Sings Hebrew Songs by:
ISSACHAR MIRON
ISSACHAR MIRON and I met quite by chance when I was a fledgling studio singer at the impressionable age of eighteen. His art was challenging to me, his diversified abilities almost intimidating. Nevertheless, it was love at first sight. He would write and I would sing. He created and I interpreted. Over the entire course of my adult life! have been the student and ISSACHAR MIRON the teacher. But, as in any enduring relationship, there must exist the ability to both listen and to be listened to. Our friendship has evolved. Our mutual respect for one another's skills has been lovingly carved to fit this unique mold.
My life is richer, my heart is fuller, my understanding greater. My admiration and respect for ISSACHAR MIRON, the man and his music, is immeasurable. This grouping of songs, this loving retrospective is an appropriate tribute to a remarkable man and a remarkable friendship, KENNY KAREN.
